A Brief History of HEAT Insulation Ltd
- Heat Insulation Ltd was registered as a limited company in June 1989 and commenced trading on 1st November 1989.
- It was started by Mr John Allen who had extensive knowledge of Home Insulation and in particular Home Insulation grants.
- Heat Insulation Ltd was originally part of a group of companies called The Concept Holdings Ltd. Our Parent company being Concept Training and Recruitment Ltd.
- Having a training company as our parent company gave us the ability to offer in house training of the highest quality to new and existing installers. Which we still uphold today.
- In The Early Years Heat Insulation Ltd offered ‘The Energy Grant’ (a government funded imitative set up to offer Loft Insulation and Draught Proofing to low income households.
- The old HEES scheme superseded this in 1991 which allowed Heat Insulation Ltd to branch out and work further a field. Winning areas from EAGA in North Yorkshire, East Yorkshire, Hull, North Lincolnshire and North East Lincolnshire.
- In late 2000 we secured our first major contract that did not relay on grant funding when Hull City Council ignored the big national companies and gave Heat Insulation Ltd The Contract to 12,000 + council properties to insulate.
- Since that time we have secured work from other Councils and Utilities on our ability to offer the highest quality customer care and quality insulation installations.
- In 2005 we were nominated as Installer of the Year by Powergen Warmfront.
- Late 2005 The Warmzones £75 scheme was launched which now included free insulation measures for households on means tested benefits and those on certain disability benefits.
- April 2008 introduction of free insulation for anyone 70 or over.
